“Mountain Cove” will sing during  Ole Timer’s Day in the morning service Oct. 8 at New Hope. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.; morning worship at 11. Fellowship lunch will follow. There will be no evening service.. For more information call 423-506-3516.

Community Chapel Church, 1807 Blythe Ave., will be in revival on Oct. 6, 7 and 8 with 17-year-old Marcus Dilley. Friday and Saturday services are at 7 p.m.; on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Fellowship of Praise Church of God will celebrate the seven-year anniversary with Pastor Sam and Sister Beaulah Hall on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. Guest speaker will be Jeanie Brown of Pikeville.

Mount Carmel Baptist Church will have Homecoming 2017, “Remembrance & Renewal,” on Oct. 8, 10:30 a.m. The program will include a message by former pastor, the Rev. Jimmy Ross, and special singing by the Mount Carmel Choir and Hartstrings. A covered-dish lunch will follow the service.

Brothers In Hymn will sing Sunday, 10:45 a.m., at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 797 Hughes Lake Road.

The United Methodist Woman’s group at Big Spring United Methodist Church will host a fundraising dinner on tonight, beginning at 6. Chili and hot dogs will be served for a donation to the United Methodist Women.

Cleveland First Church of the Nazarene, 2712 Henderson Ave., will have homecoming Sunday at 10 a.m., Dr.  Ron McCormack will be speaking and Redeemed from Treveca with present the music.
