Gum Springs Baptist Church will have a churchwide picnic on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. A map for the location is posted in the church vestibule, or call 458-4348 for directions.

Ball Play Baptist Church, Old Fort, will be having its annual tent revival at the Rush Farm, 169 Godfrey Waters Road, Sept. 10 through 15, 7 nightly. Brother Coy Adams from Robbinsville, N.C., will preach. For more information, call 706-483-1851.

Evangelist Johnny Staton will be speaking at Fourth Street Community Church, 855 5th St., on Sept. 10, beginning at 10 a.m.

A young preachers’ revival will be held at Covenant Baptist Church Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m until noon. Lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m. This revival will feature different young preachers. The church is located at 249 Calhoun Road, two miles down Ladd Springs Road.

Prospect Church of God, located on Harrison Pike, will celebrate its 40th anniversary Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

The Evening Light Gospel Tabernacle will have its homecoming Sunday, featuring singing by the Christian Gospel Aires, with lunch to follow the service. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.; evening service is at 6.

Philippi Baptist Church is having homecoming Sunday at 10:30 a.m. DeAnna Jacobs will be the featured singer.
