Collegedale to hold Freedom Celebration July 3

COLLEGEDALE — The city of Collegedale will host its Freedom Celebration on Tuesday, July 3.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with local artists and food trucks set up along Apison Pike. Two big stages featuring live music will be located at Veterans Memorial Park and the train platform at Imagination Station.
Music at Veterans Memorial Park will start at 6 p.m. with Lou Wamp and the Bluetastics, followed by the East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra, and conclude with Sweet Georgia Sound.
Musical performances at Imagination Station will kick off with Kofi Mawuko from 6 to 7 p.m. and Jennifer Daniels from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.
Children are welcome to join in the activities at Imagination Station hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department.
The second annual Red, White and Boom Glow Run sponsored by Scenic City Multisport starts at 7:30pm.  The Children’s Fun Run and the 5K run along the city's scenic greenway will begin at 8 p.m.

The Freedom Celebration will conclude at 9:45, with the area’s largest fireworks display.
