Cora Sue Owens, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1935, in Tutwiler, Miss. She moved to Battle Creek, Mich., in 1945, and met her husband and married in 1950. Together they moved to Atlanta, Ga., in 1980 and lived there for several years before moving to Cleveland in 2010. She loved the summer weather, and she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, meeting people, and she also enjoyed history and antiques.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Woodard.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 68 years of marriage, Rex Owens; children: Allen (Lisa) Owens of Green Brier, and Chanda (Darryl) Provost of Eureka, Mont.; grandchildren: Meagan, Mallory, Chelsea, Alayne, Zoeigh, Nicole and Sean; and great-grandchildren: Owen, Emerson, Addy Grace, Ava, Noah and Maddox.
May she rest in peace, and look down on all of us.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
