The Cleveland State Community College women’s volleyball team continued its early success last weekend in the Georgia Northwestern Technical College tournament in Rossville, Ga. The Lady Cougars dominated the field, going 4-0, winning the tournament and moving their overall season record to 5-0.
The Lady Cougars started off strong, defeating Crown College in their first match with scores of 25-11 and 26-24. Next up, CSCC took on Hiwassee College for the second time this season, winning that match 25-15 and 25-22.
The Lady Cougars kept moving forward, adding to another plus to their record with a victory against Welch College with scores of 25-21, 25-21. Finally, Cleveland State won the tournament with a win against Georgia Northwestern Technical College. The final scores were 25-15 and 25-22.
Next up, the red hot Lady Cougars will travel to Centre, Ala., to take on Gadsden State Community College Wednesday, at 5 p.m. CST.
