Darlene Thompson Woods

The Celebration of Life for Darlene Thompson Woods will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, with Pastor Sammy Hughes to speak at noon.

Born to the late Harold and Anne Thompson, in Cleveland, on March 9, 1963, Darlene returned to her heavenly home on May 22, 2020, after a valiant battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Woods; her son, Aaron Woods (Lindsey); and daughters: Jennifer Bravo (Cesar) and Stacy Eastland (Kyle); along with her five wonderful grandchildren.

She was a member of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Ala.,and an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of encountering her beautiful spirit.

Darlene's reliance on God’s strength and her devotion to Him are best represented in Psalm 28:7 and the 103rd Psalm.

Her deep devotion to her family, their dedication to her and her unwavering faith supported her throughout her journey, and ultimately gained her the victory as she is now at peace in the arms of her Creator.

For anyone who’d like to pay respects in person, in addition to the Celebration of Life, Darlene’s memorial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.

The family also humbly requests that you share your memories with them (https://www.deerfootmemorialfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Darlene-Woods-2/).

In lieu of flowers, a donation of any amount to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.abcf.org is greatly appreciated.
