Dennis Baker, 72, a resident of Georgetown, passed away on Friday evening, Aug. 18, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
He worked at the police department for seven years as a detective, but went on to be a fireman at the Cleveland City Fire Department, where he retired after 25 years of service. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Irene Baker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 41 years, Janet C. Baker; children: Denise Goulet (Ron) and Tammy Harrelson (Mark); and grandchildren: Nathaniel Parton, Logan Duckett, and Joshua Bolton.
A Celebration of Life memorial gathering is planned Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Brittsville Baptist Church in the fellowship hall, 2650 Brittsville Road, Georgetown, with Pastor Mike Exline officiating.
Bring a covered dish (in lieu of flowers) to celebrate his life with his family.
