Emily Grace Carlsson-Shoemaker, 44, of Cleveland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017.
She was a loving mother to her children, a great friend to many, and a wonderful person to everyone. She loved to spend her time either outdoors and in the mountains, or at home crafting and scrapbooking. But her greatest passion in life was serving the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tommie Ann Batts-Carlsson; her father, Hubert Carlsson; and her grandparents, Albert Homes and Lois Little Batts.
She is survived by her two children: Wesley Franklin Shoemaker and Savannah Jo Shoemaker; a very dear and loving friend, Donald Houk; and several special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held in her honor on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Brainerd Hills Church of God.
The family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are by the Cremation Center of Chattanooga.
