Evelyn Myrtle Dixon, 96, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at her home.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was born and raised in Cleveland and moved to Nashville, where she owned and operated two cafeterias.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: John Spence and Virgil Dixon; parents, Mac and Hilma McSpadden; brothers: Luke and Buddy McSpadden; sister, Louise Mitchell; and daughter, Wanda Gerald.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda McIllwain and husband, Tom, of Nashville; four grandchildren: Ricky McIllwain, Tammy Butler and Darlene Armstrong, all of Nashville, and Jim McIllwain of Sevierville; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 19, 2019, in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with the Jerry Arms officiating.
