Felmet L. Eaves, 91, of Calhoun, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019.
He was a United States Army veteran and was ranked corporal. He served two tours in Germany. He was an expert marksman.
He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. He loved gardening and deep-sea fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Isabelle Eaves; parents, Felmet Leonard Eaves Sr. and Ada Gussie Guffey Eaves; sister, Grace Ann Brown; and brother, William “Bill” Eaves.
He is survived by his children: Christina Eaves of Athens and Steve Liner (Kathy) of Cleveland; granddaughter, Isabella Koons (Dylan) of Cleveland; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Green of Charleston; dear friends: Jerry Duncan and his wife, Cindy; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Calhoun Community Cemetery with the Rev. Jay McClusky officiating.
