To The Editor:
As another Veterans Day approaches, let's not forget — and be ever thoughtful enough — to honor our war dead, and also the living.
Let's remember them by getting out those great American flags.
Ever let them fly! And, remember what they stand for, and always will stand for! Our sons, our brothers and our other kin, along with many friends, made many sacrifices — and some gave their lives — so that you and I could keep Old Glory flying over the United States of America.
Let's definitely not forget the living. Shake hands with all the living veterans and let them know you are proud of them. They have done a great job, and they still do, for our country.
Let's not forget our Gold Star Mothers. They are the ones who lost sons and daughters, and they are the ones whose sons and daughters still serve, so that our country may be ever free.
On Saturday, which is America's beloved Veterans Day, put the flag out and stop to think about what it stands for.
We should always honor it ... always!
God Bless, America!
