Frances Geraldine 'Geri' Grubb


Frances Geraldine “Geri” Grubb, 92, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. 

She was born on July 5, 1925, to the late James and Delia Stewart. 

"Geri" moved to Cleveland in 1965.  She worked as a deputy clerk with the County Clerk’s office for many years.  She could do anything, and was a very gifted artist who also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Those who knew her will always remember her outgoing personality and welcoming spirit.  She was very much a people person and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.P. Grubb; daughter, Linda McDaniel Dunn; great-granddaughter, Shantae Neyman; brothers: Frank Stewart, Paul Stewart, Parker Stewart, and Bill Stewart; and sisters: Edna Lillard, Kate McClellan, and Bonnie Gilbert. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters: Carolyn Lay (Howard) and Judie Brock (Joe); grandchildren: Dan Brock, Erin Brock, Heather Brock Ross, Janie Dunn Neyman, Glen Dunn, Gena Dunn Near, and Julie Lay Rupert; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road N.W., Cleveland, TN 37311. 

A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 3 p.m.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
