Gail Renee Henderson, 55, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018.

She was born on June 15, 1962, in Pontiac, Mich.

She has been a resident of Cleveland for 31 years, moving here from Drayton Plains, Mich., to attend Lee University. She was an employee of Lee University, where she worked for the Office of Admissions. Those who knew Renee were very fond of her amazing gift of hospitality, from meals and events in her home, to generous contributions to various organizations, Renee enjoyed giving.
She also loved to decorate and place her own personal touches on the homes that she and her husband, Tim, built together. These homes have held wonderful memories throughout the years — memories that will be cherished for years to come. Some of the most important memories made were those with her sons, Cole, Conner and Chase, were the lights of Renee’s life.

As often and as much as she enjoyed anything in her life, the boys (including Tim) were at the top of the list. She was a devoted Christ follower, a loving wife and mother, and friend to many who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jim Henderson; and brother-in-law, David Henderson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 32 years, Tim Henderson; three sons: Cole Henderson, Conner Henderson and Chase Henderson; mother, Gail Clark Lemmert, and stepfather, Albert Lemmert; father; Bruce Parris; brother, Randall Parris (Rhonda); mother-in-law, Jean Street Henderson; brother-in-law, Mike Henderson (Judy); and Catherine Plate (Conner’s fiancé).

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at First Baptist Church Cleveland, located at 1275 Stuart Road, Cleveland, TN 37312.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. following the visitation, with Dr. Randall Parris officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are nephews: Clay Parris, Dr. Jim Henderson, J.D. Henderson, and Mike Henderson, Dr. David Turpin, Bob McIntyre, Joe Lee, and Pam Cruzen.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to honor Renee to Wesley Memorial Methodist Church, Jim Henderson Trustee Fund, or — First Baptist Church Global Missions

You are invited to share a personal memory of Renee or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com.
