Georgia Olema Combs passed away at her home on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, surrounded by family.
She was born in Menifee County, Ky., to the late Hayden and Nora Crisp Blevins. She was the oldest of five children.
She was a woman of profound faith and a great lover of nature. She enjoyed tending her garden and especially loved hummingbirds. She also loved writing poetry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Byrl Combs; and siblings: Bonnie Ray, George Blevins and David Blevins.
Georgia is survived by her children: Karen Archer (Bill) of Cleveland and Douglas Combs of Springfield, Va.; grandchildren: Casey Atchley (Will) of Birmingham, Ala., Evan Archer (Jessica) of Cleveland, Courtney Wolfe (Justin) of Chattanooga and Douglas Combs Jr. of Springfield, Va.; great-grandchildren: Amelia Archer and Taylor Wolfe; and her brother, Greg Blevins (Diana) of Dayton, Ohio.
Georgia was laid to rest on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, in a private ceremony attended by family.
