God’s Work Rally prepares events to help the homeless

God’s Work Rally will be having a car wash Saturdayat O’Reilly Auto Parts on Keith Street, beginning at 9 a.m.

All proceeds will go to the organization, which focuses on helping the homeless. Anyone who brings four 12-packs of Coke or Pepsi products can get their car washed for free.

They will also be having a large yard sale Sept. 16, starting a 8 a.m. on Spring Place Road at the Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland. Available for sale will be furniture, bicycles, kitchen gadgets, appliances, clothing and other miscellaneous items.

God’s Work Rally is still accepting donations for the yard sale and for backpacks.

The third annual “God’s Work Rally” will be held Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Bradley County Courthouse. The event is designed to fill backpacks with some of the everyday necessities of life.
