Ina Pankey


Ina Pankey, 78, a resident of Chatsworth, Ga., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday night, March 2, 2018.

She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church. Many knew that she loved to read, and she always enjoyed her beloved dog, “Scruffy." More than anything, she loved her family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Essie Mantooth; husband, John Pankey; son, Jerry Milen; and numerous other siblings.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children: Teresa Milen and Jimmy Milen (Tori); stepchildren: Mike Pankey (Judy), Mark Pankey (Tammie), and Sharon Pankey; grandchildren: Jonathan Pankey (Ashley), Caela Davis (Zachary), Kelly Pankey, Matthew Pankey (Ashley), and Amanda Pankey; siblings: S.L. “Peanut” Mantooth and Bonnie Poteet (Harold); and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, located at 4828 Ladd Springs Road, Old Fort, TN 37362.

A celebration of life service will follow, beginning at 7 p.m., at the church with Pastor Bob Green officiating.

She will be laid to rest on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Mountain Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Homer Roberts officiating.
