Inez Mikel Frady, 91, of Old Fort, passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 5, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland.
Born on August 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late L.E. and Louisa Albritton Mikel and a native and lifelong resident of Polk County.
She loved sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and was a longtime member of Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Leon Frady, and several siblings.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry D. and Monica E. Frady of Madisonville, and Kim D. and Judy Frady of McDonald; grandchildren, Tiffany Frady of Maryville, Marc and Jenny Frady of Wear’s Valley, Jonathan and Abbey Frady of Calhoun, Ga., Kelley Frady of Benton; one great-grandchild, Lovie Frady; sister, Lillie Mantooth of Old Fort; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, from the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Brothers Terry Webb and Leroy Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Dill Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 7, 2017, and again, one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
