Jane Keith, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017.
She was a loving wife and devoted mother and “Mamaw.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Keith; daughter, Kathy P. Cameron; grandson, Christopher S. Keith; parents, John Taylor and Emma Martha Witt; two sisters, Mellany Blaylock and Zola Boring; and four brothers: Ernest Witt, George Witt, Harold Witt and John Witt Jr.
She is survived by her children, Larry E. Keith (Jamie), Connie P. Keith, Billy N. Keith (Michelle); grandchildren: Anthony (Tony), Cameron (Shelley), Tyler P. Nye, Chelsea K. Ferrer (Vince), Kevin P. Keith (Ashley), Kelsey E. Clifford (Ryan), and Cheyenne Griggs; great-grandchildren: Sophie Cameron, Calvary Cameron, Austin Martin, Andrew Martin, Emma J. Clifford and Ellie G. Clifford; her sister Thelma Burton; and brothers: W.C. (Billy) Witt and Roy Witt.
She loved deeply and was loved in return by all who knew her. She dearly loved her family and the Keith family home was the gathering place for many happy family reunions over the years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning fresh vegetables. Her life’s joy was caring for others — many children on Keith Valley Road grew up at Mamaw Keith’s home and she was a devoted caregiver to anyone who needed her. She was an active member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church.
The family deeply appreciates the love and support provided by family and friends as we mourn the loss of one who was so dear to us.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with the Revs. Lee Ingram and Anthony Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Larry Keith, Billy Keith, Kevin Keith, Anthony “Tony” Cameron, Tyler Nye, Ryan Clifford and Vince Ferrer serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
