Joan Barrett


Joan Ryan Barrett, 86, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at her home.

She was a parishioner at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.

She had a special devotion to the rosary which she prayed every evening. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Barrett; parents, Thomas and Mary Murphy Ryan; and daughter, Patricia Barrett Bradam.

Survivors include her children: Sandra Barrett Rhodes of Cleveland and Clifford Owen (Ira) Barrett of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren: Jeanette Marie Bradam Silver, Treena Rhodes (Frank) Dolence and Jonathon Edward (April) Barrett, all of Cleveland; great- grandchildren: Megan Elizabeth Teeter, Ashley Silver (Hunter) Longley and Daniel Barfels; sisters: Mary Thornton of New York, N.Y. and Sr. Marie Bernadetta “Rose” of Fall River, Maine.; brother, John Ryan of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan presiding.

Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 900 Clingan Ridge Drive N.W., Cleveland TN 37312.
