Josephine Swaggerty, 86, of Cleveland passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Gennie Craig Shields. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Swaggerty; daughter, Brenda Swaggerty; and her son-in-law, Gary Wilson.
She was an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers, and she also loved to sew.
Survivors include her daughters: Phyllis Cross and her husband, Dean, and Pam Wilson, all of Cleveland; son, Jr. Swaggerty and his wife, Faye, of Ocoee; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Randolph officiating. The interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery on Straw Hill Road.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
