The Justice Center was the setting for a re-enactment of a prison ministry in action on Dec. 17. Prison minister Rick Razsi demonstrated a visit to an inmate, as he talked to him about Christ and the gift of salvation.
The staged event was done for a Sunday school teaching video for The Church of God, which included segments for the extension department of prison ministry, including shut-in visits, nursing home services and so forth, along with other ministries of the Sunday school department.
Although the video was staged, the real thing happened as the crew was preparing to leave the Justice Center. A young man who had come for his probation payment inquired as to what they were doing and, ultimately, received Jesus as his savior, after Razsi talked and prayed with him.
The crew included members of the media team at The Church of God General Headquarters, located on Tilley Road in Cleveland. The Sunday school teaching video was scripted by Bettie Marlowe, general Sunday school coordinator, and produced by Grayson Kent, media director for the church. Kryss Barick, Brandon Lewis and Justin McGriff assisted.
The video will be distributed to all state Sunday school and national coordinators, and will be used in workshops wherever requested. It will also be available online.
