Kenneth David “Hawk” Stidger, 75, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was the son of the late Lillie Mae Lemmae and Clarence Stidger and was preceded in death, also, by his sister, Linda Stidger.
He was a long time wrestler in the NWA, wrestling against some of the greats like Tojo Yamamoto and Jackie Fargo, among others.
In his later years, he owned and operated East Tennessee Paving Company.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Stidger; daughters: Lea Mae Stidger, Rebecca Brannon and Rita Stidger; sons: Jake Stidger, David Stidger and Kenny Stidger; his beloved grandson, Jonathan Stidger, and numerous other grandchildren; brother, Cecil Stidger, and his wife, Judy; sister, Montez Hostetler and her husband, Ron; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 28, 2017, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel.
The family will receive friends today, Sept. 28, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
