Kennith Howard


Kennith Howard, 66, a resident of George-town, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017.

He was a cook at the Waffle House for many, many years. All who knew Kennith knew he was a master carpenter and master grill operator. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

He as preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Howard; brothers: Floyd Howard, Steve Howard, Ralph Howard, Greg Howard, and James Howard Jr.; and close brother-in-law, Charles Barbee Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Lydia Howard; children,: Crystal Sullivan (Jeremy) and Cindy Hicks (Frank); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony Howard (Margaret), of Varnell, Ga.; two sisters: Edith Barbee and Janice Hixson (Clyde) of Dawnville, Ga.; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road N.W., with Pastor Justin Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends five hours prior, from 11 a.m. until the 4 p.m. service time.
