Ladd Springs church plans live, drive-through naivity
Members of Ladd Springs Church of God, 2475 Ladd Springs Road, will present a live, drive-through nativity scene, starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The drive-through event will display the nativity scene complete with angels, wise men, shepherds and animals surrounding the portrayal of Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child. It will be open to the public from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
Starting at 6 p.m., the North Cleveland Ladies Choir, under the direction of Lucille Barfield, will present special Christmas music. This is the fourth year for the Ladd Springs congregation to host the Ladies Choir.
“We are pleased to have the Ladies Choir returning for the fourth year and are excited to add the live nativity enactment to this evening’s special events,” explained Pastor Joe C. Taylor. “The sets and costumes are bright and colorful and the sanctuary is decorated to the brim with a Christmas theme. It is our pleasure to host this special music and nativity celebration for our community,” he said.
The community is invited to view the nativity and, at 6 p.m., continue the celebration in the church sanctuary, as the Ladies Choir presents Christmas music. For more information, see the church’s Facebook page or contact Pastor Joe Taylor at 423-458-1721.
