Larry Edgar “Bud” Lewis, 70, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, following a lengthy battle with leukemia.
He was the son of the late Gladys McDonald Lewis and William Bryant Lewis; and was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara J. Bullington.
He was an avid reader, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a licensed CPA. Before retiring in 2012 and returning to the Chattanooga area, he lived in Memphis and worked for the state of Tennessee for more than 30 years. His last job was as a special agent with the Department of Revenue. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors are his sisters: Becky Lewis and Glendia Ball, and her husband, Scott, all of Cleveland.
The Remembrance of Life graveside service and interment will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. from the Benton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Hibbard officiating. Family and friends will serve as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Chapel.
