BASEBALL CAMPS

Lee University baseball will host an Advanced Camp for ages 8-17 June 24-26.The morning session (9 a.m. until noon) will focus on advanced hitting, while the afternoon session (1-3 p.m.) will be for pitching and catching skills. The cost of these camps are $70 for hitting, $55 for pitching and catching or $115 for both. For more information, contact Coach Mark Brew at mbrew@leeuniversity.edu or at (423) 614-8638.

CSCC CAMP

Cleveland State baseball coach Mike Policastro will host aYouth Hitting Camp June 17-19 from 9-11:30 a.m.  The camps is for ages 8–16. The cost is $60, and includes a camp T-shirt. CSCC TOURNAMENTS

Cleveland State baseball will host its final Baseball Classic Summer Tournaments next weekend. The 14-under and 13-under tournament will be June 22-23. The tournament will all have three games of pool play and  a championship.

LEE PROSPECTS CAMPS

Lee University baseball will host two Summer Prospect Camps June 18-19 at Olympic Field. The price for the camps is $150 to workout at one position and $185 to work at two positions. The camp will be limited to 75 athletes in a session. Session one is June 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration will be at 8 a.m. Session two will be June 19 from 9 a.m. -4 p.m., also with registration at 8 a.m. Sessions are identical and prospects should only sign up for one session. Instructors at the camps include coaches from the University of Tennessee, Auburn University, Middle Tennessee State University, Kennesaw State University and Lee University. FREE LETS CAMP

OPENS REGISTRATION 

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual LETS Camp, which will once again be held at Jim Smiddy Arena will be held July 16-19. The four-day event sponsored by former Bradley standouts siblings Alvin, Terry, Levi and Gloria (Deathridge) Scott, not only provides free basketball, but also life advice for area youngsters. The "Life Education Through Sports" event is open to boys and girls ages 8-15. Those wishing to participate can register at www.letscamps.com. SKILLS/DRILLS

The Marty Rowe Skills and Drills Basketball Camp will be held June 24-27 at the Lee University Walker Arena. For girls age 5-eighth grade, the daily sessions will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (early drop off, late pick up available). The individual skills camp  includes camp instruction, daily lunch, t-shirts, and prizes. The cost is $150, but only $135 if you register before May 15. Sibling discounts are also available. LADY FLAMES

ELITE CAMP

The Lady Flames Elite Camp with be held June 29 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Lee University's Walker Arena. For players in grades 9-12, with advanced skill instruction and high-level competition, as well as exposure to numerous college coaches The cost is $100. FLAMES ELITE CAMP

The Lee University Flames will host Elite Camp Aug. 10-11. Elite Camp is a one-day session limited to the first 60 registrants with two sessions available. Top prospects from the region will be in attendance to be evaluated by our coaching staff. Elite Camp is offered to young men who are rising sophomores to rising seniors. FISHING

FLY FISHING CLASS

A basic fly fishing class for adults only, sponsored by Cleveland Parks and Recreation, June 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Fillauer House and Barn. The classes will be taught by Orvis Guide of the Year Gary Taylor. Topics will cover how to angle, essential gear, what fish eat, fly choice, casting techniques and primary knot tying. CAMP OF CHAMPIONS

The 19th annual "Camp of Champions" will take place at the Cleveland High School football facilities July 8-11 from 9 a.m.-noon each day. The camp is open to athletes in grades 1-8. The camp will be hosted by CHS and Cleveland Middle School football coaching staffs, as well as former and current Blue Raider players. The cost for the camp is $80. TCFOA/AMVETS

GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Tri-County Football Officials Association and AMVETS Post 911 will host a four-man, select shot golf tournament Saturday, July 13, at the Chatata Valley Golf Club. The event will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start with pay outs for first, seventh, 11th and last place. There will be a $10,000 hole-in-hole prize, as well as closest to the pin, longest drive and flag toss. Lunch will be served at the end of the tournament. The cost is $60 per golfer or $240 per team.
