Lorene “Dodie” Wilson, 81, of Life Care Center of Cleveland and formerly of Crandall, Ga., passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland.
She was a member of Boanerges Baptist Church. She loved being around people and socializing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lois Green; husband, Kenneth Wilson; siblings: Marie Howard, Norman Green and Johnny Green; and niece, Lynne Howard.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law: Jay and Jan Green of Crandall, Ga., and Rocky and Linda Green of Cohutta, Ga.; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Sibyl and Gary Benson of Dalton, Ga., and Helen Green of Crandall, Ga.; nieces and nephews: Rita Penley, Susan Green, Jeanna Rogers, Michael Green and Stefanie Moore; great-nieces and nephews: Chad Howard, Britany Manis, Riley Ellis, Corey Penley and Kristyn Rogers; and her special friends and staff at Life Care of Cleveland.
The funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilson will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth, Ga., with the Rev. David Disney and the Rev. Charles Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Play Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
