Man dies in industrial accident

Authorities are continuing their investigation into a Cleveland industrial accident in which a man died on Monday.

The man who died in the accident at Waste Connections of Cleveland was identified as Raymond McCann, 28, Cleveland Police reported.

Sgt. Evie West, public information officer for the police department, said that a witness to the accident contacted 911 when he found his co-worker unresponsive at around 5 p.m. Monday. The scene of the accident, at 386 Industrial Drive S.W., was secured and investigators were notified.

West was not specific as to how the accident may have occurred, stating that investigation into the incident is still ongoing. She did say that the death at the present time is being ruled an “industrial accident.”

Waste Connections provides residential and commercial trash services for the city of Cleveland.
