Mary Lee “Jack” Casson, 97, of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1919, to the late Jess and Ida Waters.
She was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a member of Boanerges Baptist Church. She loved her family and loved spending time with them.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odes Casson; sister, Edna Earl Pinkey; and her oldest daughter, Nina Jo Hannah.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons: Bobby Casson, and his wife, Dottie, and Jimmy Casson, and his wife, Janice; son-in-law, Junior Glenn Hannah; her youngest daughter, Wanda Faye Burris; grandchildren: Teresa Collett, Mary Farmer, Nita Ledford, Mark Burris, Kelcey Casson and Gavin Casson; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A Remembrance of Life service was held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Pastor David Disney and the Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating.
The interment will be held at 1 p.m. today at Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with deacons from the church serving as casket bearers.
