Matt Cordell returns to Gem Theater in Etowah

Matt Cordell, an award-winning Elvis tribute artist, will return to the Historic Gem Theater in Etowah for a performance at 7:30 p.m. on March 10.

The Merchants and Friends of Etowah have sponsored the Gem Theater performance of Cordell for more than 12 years.

Cordell has been touring in numerous states as well as on cruise ships. In 2017, he opened his own theater — Show Place Theater — in Pigeon Forge.

Elvis could take a song of any artist and sound just like it or make it even better. Cordell has that talent as well. He has added a great variety of music to his performances. Besides his tributes to Elvis, Jason Aldean and Bobby Darin, he has added other artists to his list.

Cordell noted, “I’m very comfortable performing Aldean’s songs. He’s from Georgia. I’m from Georgia. He’s country and I’m country, and so it’s like the real me out there.”

Cordell has added music by Bruno mars, Queen and others. He is calling his show March 10 “Matt Cordell’s Ultimate Variety and Tribute Show.”
Reserve seating is $20 and $15 for general seating.
