Melanie Chitty

On Monday, April 15, 2019, Melanie Suzanne Davis Chitty went to her heavenly home. 

She was born on Oct. 30, 1966. 

She is survived by her husband, R. Randall (Randy) Chitty; her son, Cullen Keller Fewell; her mother, Sharon M. Davis; brother, Mark W. Davis (Alyssa); and extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her father, C. Fred Davis Jr.  

She resided in Cleveland, and was raised in Pensacola, Fla.  She was a wife, mother, artist, writer, teacher and student. Above all things she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her son, Cullen. 

She graduated with bachelor’s degree in English from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., and she continued her education by completing the Nursing Program at Cleveland State.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road N.W., Cleveland, TN 37311. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen Chitty of Columbia, S.C., officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Lee Cemetery. 

The family expresses special thanks to Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland and specifically surgeon Dr. Dunn for all their compassion and care during this time.
