A man died in a motorcycle accident in northwest Bradley County late Saturday.
According to Communication Director James Bradford of the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, the wreck occurred around 10:30 p.m. The BCSO Public Safety Unit said the accident happened at Georgetown Circle.
BCSO reports stated the Bradley County Emergency 911 center was contacted by the motorcyclist's girlfriend.
Bradford said the motorcycle driver was found off of the roadway, in a ditch. He added the cyclist was not wearing a helmet when the accident happened.
Investigators estimate the wreck occurred an hour before the discovery of the driver, and learned the motorcycle was reportedly stolen out of Bradley County.
The deceased man’s name is being withheld until next-of-kin notifications are made.
