Nancy R. Waters Gee, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1949, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Gee.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Willie E Waters Jr. of Georgetown, where they opened and operated two businesses.
She loved to fish and participate in flea markets.
She is survived by two daughters: Sandra and Vernon Segar of Georgetown, and Shannon Hughes of Cleveland; two brothers: Charles W. Gee Sr. and Joseph L. Gee, both of Cleveland; four grandkids: Regina and Kelley Frank of Benton, Lacy Wilcox, Precious Ruth Appleberry and Dallas and Carrie Hughes, all of Cleveland; eight great-grandchildren; two nephews; her “fur babies” Boomer and Rowdy; a very special friend of many years, Bettye Dill of Hamilton County; and many more friends and family.
Instead of flowers, she asked that a onetime donation in her memory be made to a local animal rescue organization, as she herself had done the last few years of her life.
Companion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
