Nathan Craig Helton, “Nate,” 59, of Augusta, Ga., died on Monday, July 6, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 10, 1960, in Saltville, Va., and was the son of the late Bill and Faye Helton.
Nathan was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a certified pipefitter and self-employed auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his sons: Murray Hipp and Donny Hipp; and brother, Larry Helton.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Monday and son-in-law, Rick, of Cleveland; fiancée, Robbie Joyner of Augusta, Ga.; sisters: Janet Harris of Cleveland and Robin (James) Weaver of Charleston; brother, Bill (Debbie) Helton of Auburn, Ky.; nephews: Shane Harris, and Barry and Ross Weaver; nieces: Leslie Bustos and Jessica Whaley; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service is planned at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
