NFB chapter has holiday party

Posted

The South East Chapter of the National Federation Of The Blind met in December for its annual Christmas Party. The attendees enjoyed lasagna, bread and vegetables. Every one brought a favorite holiday sweet treat to share with the group. The Dirty Santa game was played and each had fun figuring out what gift each person picked.

The South East Chapter is an active, social, support and advocacy group for the blind and visually impaired of Bradley County and surrounding areas.

The next meeting will be Jan. 11, 2018, at the Cleveland Family YMCA in the Party Room from 1 to 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Wendy Esteen, RN.

The next activity will be Jan. 22, 2018, at Leisure Time Bowling, 2739 Keith St. N.W., from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Bring money for bowling and snack bar. Shoes and two games of bowling cost $5.

If you know anyone who is blind or visually impaired, invite them to come and join this helpful support group.

For information the support group, call Christy at 423-665-2954, or email: secnfb@gmail.com.
