Leona Oteen Miller Smith, born on Jan. 13, 1945, made her transition to a new life on Aug. 12, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and Robin Westmoreland, her friend and caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Otis C. Miller and Louise Bell Miller, and her sister, Martha Miller Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Smith of Cleveland; and brothers and sisters: Smith, Smith, Smith, Carolyn Smith, twin brother, Otis C. Miller Jr, Patricia, Kenneth and Elaine Miller and Clariece Paulk and many nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of her Life will take place at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home on today, Aug.14, 2017, at 6 p.m., following a reception of friends beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. John Tudor, pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church, of Cohutta, Ga,. And the Rev. Donald L. Paulk, pastor of Spirit and Truth Sanctuary, Decatur, Ga.
