Pamela Ann (Gibson) Roderick, 56, of Cleveland, joined our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1962, on Fort Gordon Military Base in Georgia, to E. David and Doris (Gibson) Atkins.
She is survived in marriage by her loving husband of 32 years, James "Monty" Roderick.
Also surviving are her son, Timothy L. Jones (Laura); two daughters, Lyndsay N. Arp (Barry) and Tina M. Beavers (Jason); and daughter-in-law, Shannon R. Hansen, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Kaytlyn Jones Kontess (Danny), Bryson Jones, Avah Jones, Baylee Hansen, Haley and Brandon Clark, Savannah, Dakota, and Sydney Arp; one sister, Billie Jo Gibson Robbins (Raymond); three brothers, Ron Gibson (Cindy), Tom Gibson (Sharon), Jim Gibson (Sheri); as well as several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her birth mother and father; her grandparents, Fred J. Gibson and Linda E. Gibson, who became her mother and father after the loss of her birth parents; and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Gibson and Carlos "Fred" Gibson.
She was a longtime resident of Cleveland, until she and Monty relocated to Fort Myers, Fla., where she then graduated with honors from the Southwest Florida College Nursing Program. Pam achieved the esteemed honor of the Dean’s List at her graduation.
She loved to cook, spending most of her spare time trying to learn new recipes to cook for her friends. children, grandchildren and family, who were the most important part of Pam’s life.
The memorial visitation is from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at the Calhoun First Baptist Church. The memorial service will begin at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Sears officiating. Sheri Gibson will lead in song of praise and rememberence.
