Patsy Ruth Bowers, 69, of Benton, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at her residence, after her battle with cancer.
She was born in Fackler, Ala., March 15, 1948, daughter of the late Elsie Elliott Prater.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Kenneth Duncan; five siblings, two infant sisters, and adult siblings, George Prater Jr., Juanita Prater Carden, and Edward Lee Prater.
She lived in Illinois and Crandrall, Ga., most of her adult life, most recently in Benton.
She worked as a Mary Kay sales director, and was a former employee of American Uniform in Conasauga. She enjoyed cooking, westerns, gardening, and spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She’s survived by a son, Roy K. Duncan Jr. of Litchfield, Ill.; daughter, Kimberly Frick of Benton; grandchildren, Kayla Frick of the USMC, Kerry Coker, Koby Coker, and Dutch Arthur, of Benton; sisters, Mary (James) Woody, of Benton, and Wanda (Wayne) Lethco of Calhoun; friend, Ron Palmer; and several other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the 4 p.m. service on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church, located at 169 Antioch Church Road, Benton, with Pastor John Cain conducting the service.
Interment will follow the service at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
