SPCA animals seek homes
The animals at the SPCA shelter of Bradley County need your help. They are in need of forever homes for the holidays.
There are also some animals who need special medical attention. The Angel Fund at the SPCA of Bradley County is in need of donations to help ensure those medical needs are met.
Mai Tai has been to the vet about five to six times in his short little life, mostly due to URI or chronic eyelid issues. Last week he began showing signs of no appetite and was taken to the vet again. He perked up with some new meds and began eating heartily again. But now Mai Tai has suffered two seizures. He’s being taken to a different vet for a new opinion. We are hoping we can get a long term solution.
His vet bill last week was $144. Our Angel Fund already started this month in the hole. Please consider helping by making a donation to the SPCA Angel Fund. Every little bit truly does help.
Donations to the Angel Fund go directly toward the treatment of special medical cases of animals in the SPCA’s care, including (but not limited to) medically necessary surgeries, severe cases of mange and extensive care for cases of cruelty/neglect.
All donations are tax deductible and can be made in person, by mail, or over the phone at 423-790-1915. If you'd like to mail a donation, (please specify that it is for the Angel Fund) you can send it to: SPCA of Bradley County TN, P.O. Box 703, Cleveland TN 37364.
The SPCA has a “Furever Home for the Holidays Adoption Special” going on now. To make a wish of love and a home for a shelter pet, special adoption fees have been made. Adults cats — over a year old — are $35 and kittens — under a year) are $50. There are some exceptions.
Several dogs adoption fees have been fully sponsored. These dogs are Flap Jack Bobby, Kubo, London, Pierce and Tala.
There are several dogs whose adoption fees are only $50. They include Chaco, Earl Grey, Grover, Justice, Marty and Taylor.
The SPCA of Bradley County is located at 1570 Johnson Blvd. S.E. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
