When Hurricane Maria swept over Puerto Rico in September, it left the island territory in ruin. More than a month after the storm, much of the country is without power and access to clean water and food.
On Sunday, Nov. 5, a Rally for Puerto Rico will be held at the Waterville Baptist Church Family Center.
There will be Puerto Rican food for sale — rice and beans, rotisserie Caribbean chicken, pasta, salad and more. There will also be Puerto Rican entertainment — Caribbean music and videos.
The organizers are asking for donations of nonperishable food, warm weather clothing and other items.
The rally will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 5. The church is located at 3722 Dalton Pike S.E.
