Raymond M. Peck

Raymond M. Peck, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. and Ruth Peck of Cleveland, Ohio.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Peck; his brother, Kenneth E. Peck; his loving uncle, Fred Watson; his children: Karen, Tara, Jerry and Gary; his daughter-in-law, Trish; stepdaughter-in-law, Virlena Dye; grandchildren: Kara, Kerensa, Kayla, Tristan, Krynn;  stepgrandchildren: Lindsey Dye, Laura Ann Dye, Hannah Dye, Evan Dye, Austin Dye, Brooklyn Dye, Alex (Megan) Dye, Jennifer ( Austin) Hartsfield, Tommy Dye II, Laura Smotherman and Maranda Dye; and his nieces: Tina, Margie, Diana, and Melissa.

Although Raymond was born in Cleveland, Ohio, he relocated to Tennessee after his retirement from the Medina County, Ohio, Engineer’s Office in 2001.

In 1979, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force after serving for 20 years.

In the past, he enjoyed cooking — both at home and at his former church — as well as volunteering at a Community Outreach Center.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held today, Feb. 24, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee Street Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Hibbard officiating.

The interment will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends today, from 11 until 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
