Riley Eugene Jenkins, 20, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A lifelong resident of Cleveland, he had a strong passion for racing. He was a national champion in BMX bike racing from a child to his early teens, and always placed No. 1 in his age group. He was Baptist by faith.
Riley was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Chester Eugene Jenkins; and a sister, Carla Bishop.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sandra and Mike Swallows; his father, Kipp Jenkins; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Vickie Arp; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Jenkins; a sister, Candice Blackwell; stepsisters: Brittany and Tiffany Swallows; stepbrother, Corey Swallows; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and friends without number.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, with Pastor Keith Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Tasso cemetery.
