Robert Lee Conner, 86, born Sept. 1, 1931, and a resident of Cleveland went to be with God on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years, Donna Conner; daughters: Brittanie Conner, Stephanie Duke and Carolyn White; sons: Charles Conner and William Conner; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, all of Cleveland; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
He was a great husband, father and friend to all who knew him, and he will be truly missed.
He was always an extremely hard worker, always providing for his family, and he was always happy to do it. Many knew Robert as the best storyteller there was. He was and will always be a hero to his family.
The family will have a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road N.W.
The family will receive friends tonight, 5 to 9 p.m., and Monday, from 10 a.m. to the 2 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Tumbling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill.
