Rotary Club Dairy Show scheduled Tuesday
The Rotary Club of Cleveland will hold its annual Junior Dairy Show on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the William M. Hale Agricultural Center on Peerless Road. This year’s show will mark the 79th year the Rotary Club has sponsored this event.
This is the first show of the fall season for many of these 4-H and FFA members. Forty-five project animals in six different dairy breeds are to be shown in this year’s show. Animals are judged on conformation and how the member exhibits the animal. Many of these will move on to regional, state and national contests to be exhibited there.
The show will begin at 6 p.m. with the showmanship classes for the exhibitors. This will be followed by everyone’s favorite, the “Budding Clover” class. This is a special class for those who have not yet reached 4-H age.
There is no charge for admission. Food will be available by the Bradley County Extension 4-H staff.
