Sharon Kay Evans
God has now received another angel, Sharon Kay Evans, 60. She entered the gates of heaven on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017.
She was born in Cleveland on Nov. 18, 1956. She loved her family, her God and her church family. She was a member of Community Hall Church.
She loved to travel with her loving husband and her son. They enjoyed many cruises and visiting with relatives in many cities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Stamey and Helen Louise Stamey; grandparents, John York and Nettie Mae York; sister, Tammy Phillips and husband, Andy Phillips; father-in-law, Fred A Evans; aunt, Ruth Grabes; and two uncles, Bobby York and J.L. York.
She leaves behind the love of her life, Mark Anthony Evans, of 37 years; her son, Josh Anthony Evans, the light of her life; brother, Randy Stamey; sisters, Donna Sue (Donnie) Pritchard, and Shelia Ruth Evans; mother-in-law, Ruby L Evans; three nieces: Danielle Evans, Amanda Presley, Jill (Devin) Skinner; two aunts, Barbara (Bob) Huff and Cordie (Marvin) Davis; cousins, Cindy Worley, Terry Roland, Amy Strubhart; special friend , Debbie Morris; and soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Charlene (Char) Mason.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jeanie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
