The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called to investigate the reported shooting of a Bradley County deputy’s wife.

According to Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Communications Director James Bradford, the incident occurred at a home on Old Tasso Place. A call was placed to the Emergency 911 center at 8:22 a.m. today.

Bradford said at 10 a.m. that detectives were on the scene, and the TBI, which was en route to the scene, will be the lead investigative agency for the incident.

Neither the name of the victim nor the deputy were made available this morning by the BCSO. No details, including the victim’s condition, were being released on the shooting pending the TBI investigation.

More details on the incident are expected to be released by the TBI, and will be included in Wednesday’s edition of the Cleveland Daily Banner.
