Soul Talk band to be headliner Friday at Cowboy Gospel Jubilee

A super talented group of musicians make up the band Soul Talk, and the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is proud to announce they will be headlining this Friday at 7 p.m., at The Cleveland Cowboy Church in Cleveland.

“Soul Talk is appropriately named, as their music reaches deep inside and stirs your soul,” said Steve Poteet, producer of the weekly show. “The talent found in this group is amazing. They are one of the best gospel bands we’ve had on the Jubilee in recent years, and were the surprise hit of last season!"

Based out of Dalton, Georgia, Soul Talk is a five-member Christian contemporary praise band. The band is comprised of John Buckner on lead guitar and vocals, Randy Parker on acoustic guitar and vocals, Sandy Hankins on rhythm guitar and vocals, Paxton Bennett on the drums, and Mickey "Moose" Hall on percussion.

Also appearing on the Jubilee are regulars Joel Moore and Elmer Bramlett and the Cowboy Church Band, featuring Pastor Wally Varnell on the electric guitar, played Merle Travis-style. Steve Poteet is host and announcer.

The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church in the Dockery Heights community at 3040 Blythe Road, off Dockery Lane, between Blue Springs and Blackburn Roads.

Admission is free and they pass the hat for the headliners.
