A teenager was killed in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Raider Drive and Keith Street late Tuesday evening.

Sgt. Evie West, public information officer for the Cleveland Police Department, said the accident occurred around 11 p.m. She said pending notification of next of kin, the name of the victim was not being released this morning.

According to West, a 2001 Ford Fusion was making a left turn onto Raider Drive from northbound Keith Street, and collided with a 2014 Ford F250 pickup which was southbound on Keith Street. There was only one occupant of the pickup truck, while the fatality was a passenger in the automobile.

The driver of the automobile was examined by Bradley County Emergency Medical Service personnel at the scene, and was released following the wreck. The driver of the truck was transported by BCEMS to Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland for non-life threatening injuries, West explained.

The ongoing accident investigation is being conducted by Officer Jon Collins of the CPD’s fatal crash investigation unit.
