Tennessee Church of God camp meeting begins Monday

Tennessee Church of God will be holding its annual camp meeting June 18 to June 22 at North Cleveland Church of God.

Using the theme “Empower,” the meeting will feature some powerful speakers in morning and evening services, according to Tennessee Administrative Bishop Mitch Corder.

Morning services will begin at 10 and evening services at 7.

The featured speakers in the June 18 and 19 evening services will be Tommy Barnett, senior pastor of Dream City Church in Phoenix, and his son, Matthew Barnett, senior pastor of the Angelus Temple and co-founder of he Dream Center.

The senior Barnett is an author, pastor and co-founder of The Dream Center in Los Angles, Calif. His Phoenix mega church is listed as one of the five largest churches in America. He is also a prolific author with books such as “There’s a Miracle in Your House: God’s,” “The Power of a Half Hour: Take Back,” and “the Desert Experience: Personal Reflections on Finding God’s Presence and Promise in Hard Times.”

The Monday evening service will have a “legacy emphasis.”

Matthew Barnett is the author of the New York Times Bestseller “The Cause Within You.”

According to the website of The Dream Center it is a 24-7 church “focused on finding solutions to homelessness, hunger and he lack of education through residential and community outreach programs.”

On Tuesday morning, June 19, there will be a special prayer service for sons and daughters in a Generational Anointing Service.

Dr. Timothy Hill, general overseer of the Church of God, will also be speaking on June 19. Hill served previously as director of World Missions for the Church of God. He has also served as secretary general and first assistant general overseer for the Church of God. He is also an author and writer of more 150 gospel songs, including the 1990 Gospel Voice Magazine Song of the Year, “He’s Still in the Fire.”

Morning Bible study speaker for June 20 through 22 will be Jerry Madden, senior pastor of Praise Cathedral in Greer, S.C. There will also be a MIP/CAMS recognition service at 10 a.m. on June 20.

A Ministers Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on June 20.

The evening speaker June 20 will be Bishop Dale C. Bronner, senior pastor and founder of the mega church Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Austell, Ga. He is also an author with several books, including “Pass the Baton,” “Guard Your Gates” and “Treasure Your Silent Years.”

On June 21, 8 a.m., there will be a Chaplain’ Association Breakfast. At 10 a.m. the Chaplain of the Year presentation will be made. At 10 p.m. TYCLA After Hours will be held.

Evangelist Joyce L. Rodgers of Primary Purpose Ministries will be the speaker on June 21 at 7 p.m.

Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, president of National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, will be speaking in the Friday evening. He is also the author of “Shake Free.”

Also on Friday, there will be an ordination service at 10 a.m., a youth emphasis at 7 p.m. and a Youth after Party at 10 p.m.

Corder invites the public to join in these worship services at North Cleveland Church of God for the annual Tennessee Church of God camp meeting.
