Tickets are available for An Evening Along the River’s Edge, the Women United annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 24. The event is a cocktail reception followed by a farm-to-table dinner at Hiwassee River Wedding and Events in Delano.

Women United is a women’s group affiliated with the United Way of the Ocoee Region.

According to Ashlan Morelock, donor engagement coordinator for the United Way, the event will include an “Auction of Promises” for three nonprofit organizations: Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland, Junior Achievement and OnPoint.

Morelock said a party bus has been reserved for the event with seating for 56 passengers.

“There are still seats available on that,” Morelock said, adding the bus will transport guests from the United Way office to and from the event venue.

Individual tickets are $187.50, and event sponsorships are available at the following levels:

• Platinum – $1,500 for a table of eight, preferred seating and program recognition.

• Medallion – $2,500 for a table of eight, name mentioned and in print, name mentioned in all material, preferred seating, program recognition, one bottle of wine on table.

• Palladium – $4,000 for a table of eight, event sponsor, name mentioned and in print, name mentioned in all material, preferred seating, program recognition, two bottles of wine on table.

Morelock said an anonymous donor has offered to match dollar-for-dollar all donations made to Habitat for Humanity of Cleveland at the event, up to $50,000.

A diversified group of women who come together to impact the community in a positive manner, Women United tackles issues from literacy and early education to efforts against human trafficking to access to potentially life-saving health screenings like mammograms.
